October 2007 Citizen Corps Newsletter Online ... Fairfax County CERT Mentioned!

The October issue is online in PDF format at http://www.citizencorps.gov/pdf/newsletter/cc-newsletter-october2007.pdf... it's on page three in the blue sidebar.

As part of National Preparedness Month, Fairfax County, VA, CERT members recently participated in the Fort Belvoir Emergency Response exercise. Members performed various victim roles. CERT members learned about disaster response
through observation and provided first responders with well-needed assistance.

Congratulations to PIO Terry for getting the word out!!!

  1. WOO HOO !!!!!
Thanks to Andrew Levy and Sherry from Alexandria CERT for being victims for this event. It was a lot of fun and hey, if the Army needs someone to unload the bags from their ambulance, or put fake blood racing stripes on their MP cars and get dragged by our backsides through the parking lot then I'm certain we can make ourselves available:)
It's good to see Fairfax county CERT's name in the (citizen corps) lights!!!
