  1. At the next Citizen Corps Council meeting, I plan on putting out a challenge for all Citizen Corps Council core organizations and affiliates to get 10 people per organization to sign up. If you sign up for this event, please let Terry know, so he can track the numbers. Yesterday, I participated in a ttx (tabletop) leading up to this event and I can say that the county (multiple agencies), state, and federal organizations were all represented. Unlike some non-CERT exercises that I attended, this one was very well organized and managed.

  2. Folks,
I didn't attend the tabletop exercise but Amy from MRC did show me how it is going to work. It's going to be an interesting event; this exercise will simulate the "quick dispense" method.Quick indeed; in a real disaster myself and other MRC members will be dispensing medications to 1.2 MILLION Fairfax county residents within 48 to 72 HOURS !!!! once the word is given.
This is a great oppurtunity to learn how this is actually going to be done. (And, for us MRC members to actually practice how to do it.)There is more info available on the Medical reserve corps site at www.fairfaxmrc.org
